Love Your Block will be partnering with one of our 2024 project recipients, The West Hill Refugee Welcome Center, to transform a gravel covered lot into an area that can be enjoyed by the community with grass and wildflowers.
This event will involve picking up litter, pulling weeds, trimming back overgrowth, laying down burlap sacks and cardboard, and spreading mulch then compost on top.
Love Your Block will provide all necessary tools and supplies in addition to bottled water and snacks. Volunteers are encouraged to bring clothes that can get dirty, work shoes, gardening gloves, and a water bottle.
