The NYIC is seeking a Spanish, French, Arabic or Wolof speaker to fill out a digital NYIC intake form for recently arrived, asylum seekers seeking in need of legal services on Wednesday, April 17th. The form asks a series of personal questions that will allow us to determine the clients' eligibility for next steps.
TRAINING
- Volunteer Intake Guide will be provided in your confirmation email to help prepare you for your role.
- In-person training 15 minutes before the first appointment starts (2pm) by an NYIC staff member who will also be conducting intakes and whom you can rely on for any questions and support.
Notes
- If you cannot attend the entirety of the shift, please indicate that in the form
- Volunteers can be reimbursed for traveling expenses, please save your receipts.
- Water/snacks will be provided
