U-CAN Court is for young people that have committed low level offenses but can have their charges dropped and their records cleared after a successful year of mentoring and probation. Mentors meet once a week for 12 months* and talk about whatever their mentee has on their minds. Our matches meet at diners, coffee shops, the gym, libraries and the mall.
The hour per week that mentors spend with their mentees is fun and fulfilling. Becoming invested in their success and wondering how they are doing day-to-day is the challenge, and it is well worth it. U-CAN mentors are very proud of the role they play at a pivotal moment in young peoples lives.

*Occasionally, we have a need for shorter term assignments of 6-months or less when the initial mentor moves away/needs to withdraw. You can inquire about being a "fill-in" mentor as well.
