UAlbany in the High School is seeking volunteers for an event called UAlbany in the High School Science Research Invitational Symposium. We are looking for students to direct traffic and assist with event set up and breakdown.
The event will take place of Wednesday February 25, 2026.
We are looking for volunteers for the following shifts:
Wednesday, February 25
9am- 12pm( Four Volunteers needed)
Meeting place: The Great Hall (campus center west)
Task: Student guide- be available to show students/ teachers where various rooms on campus are. Escorting groups of students and teachers back and forth between Campus Center and Indigenous Dining Hall. The volunteers should know where the following locations are : CC 375, The Board Room (campus center west)The Multipurpose room(campus center west), Science Library- Standish Room, Assembly Hall(campus center) and the Ballroom(campus center) .
12pm- 3pm ( Four Volunteers needed)
Meeting Place: Multipurpose room, Science Library Standish Room, Board Room, Assembly Hall or Great Hall
Task: Student guide- be available to show students/ teachers where various rooms on campus are. The volunteers should know where the following locations are: CC 375, The Board Room (campus center west)The Multipurpose room(campus center west), Science Library- Standish Room, and Assembly Hall(campus center) .
3pm-6:15 pm( Four Volunteers needed)
Meeting Place: Multipurpose room, Science Library Standish Room, Board Room ,Assembly Hall or Great Hall
Task: Student guide- be available to show students/ teachers where various rooms on campus are and escort groups of students and teachers back and forth between the locations mentioned below and Indigenous Dining Hall The volunteers should know where the following locations are: CC 375, The Board Room (campus center west)The Multipurpose room(campus center west), Science Library- Standish Room, and Assembly Hall(campus center) .
About UAlbany in the High School Science Research Invitational Symposium
Young scientists representing high schools across New York present the results of original scientific research before hundreds of fellow students, teachers, mentors and judges at the University at Albany, in Albany, NY. These presentations represent the culmination of a three-year Science Research in the High School program that unites students, teachers and mentors in a common research experience. This program has cultivated future scientists from schools in every region of the state.
