Radix Ecological Sustainability Center will be holding their annual South End Earth Day event to help community gardens in the neighborhood get started for the spring, provide environmental education, and a foster a sense of community amongst local residents. Volunteers will be expected to prep garden beds for planting, shovel mulch and compost, pull weeds, pick up litter, and transplant starts. After the initial garden work is completed there will be food, music, games, and tours of the Radix farm, with games and activities for all ages.
