The Recovery Ally Training provides trainees with information about recovery as a long-term process, guidance in differentiating between myths and realities of substance use and addiction, understanding about how stigma impacts those using substances or in recovery, and skills in using empathy, openness, and appropriate language with individuals experiencing addiction or in recovery. During the 2-hour training, trainees will have an opportunity to learn and practice skills for interacting with people who are ambivalent about change and investigating resources for substance use treatment and recovery support. You must register here in addition to your RSVP!
