Meet Community Champion, Nikki Rajczak,
My name is Nikki Rajczak I am an Energy Efficiency Sales Processing Analyst at National Grid. My husband Joe and I had the pleasure of "Adopting a Senior from the Saratoga Senior Center" this Holiday season. We feel that sometimes Seniors get forgotten about for the Holidays, especially during these unprecedent times we are living in, so we were so happy to hear the United Way offered this opportunity.
Lawrence, at the Senior center made the matching process extremely personal and sentimental; he matched us with a Veteran couple which hit even closer to home as my husband is a Veteran. This was such a meaningful volunteer opportunity! We can't wait to hear from them after they open their gifts, and we will be cleaning up their yard for the spring cleaning program the center runs! Lawrence is fantastic to work with, he answered promptly and even met us on off hours for present drop offs. I hope others have the pleasure of volunteering in the future through the Saratoga Senior Center.
