Who We Are
For over 40 years, the Foster Grandparent Program has provided Capital Region’s youth with educational and developmental support. Foster Grandparent Volunteers are role models, mentors, and friends to children with exceptional needs. The program provides a way for volunteers age 55 and over to stay active by serving children and youth in their communities.
A tax-free stipend is paid to volunteers for their time and transportation.
We believe all children deserve to have a strong supportive network filled with loving role models.
What We Do
Today, we are part of a large network of more than 220,000 senior volunteers located throughout the United States. Each volunteer receives a tax-free stipend for their much needed support. But more importantly, each volunteer knows they are creating an impact in their community for future generations. All you need to join is the ability to give the kind of comfort and love that sets a child on the path toward a successful future. If you’re 55 or over and want to share your experience and compassion, you have what it takes to become a Foster Grandparent Volunteer.
A tax-free stipend is paid to volunteers for their time and transportation.
Become a mentor. Make an impact. Add to our history.
Share today and shape tomorrow with the Capital Region’s Foster Grandparent Program.
