Who We Are
In 2019, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany and Troy Boys & Girls Club merged to become the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area (BGCCA). This merger brought together two strong organizations to become one of the region’s largest youth organizations. BGCCA’s mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to become productive, responsible and caring citizens. Youth coming into the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area are given a safe place to learn and grow, with caring adults who help to inspire and offer hope and opportunities for a brighter future. With 18 different locations throughout the Capital Region, we are able to serve over 1,800 youth daily and over 225,000 meals annually. Our goal is to provide a quality experience that allows every child to achieve academic success, live healthy lifestyles and become good citizens within their communities.
