Who We Are

For over seventy years, Albany Housing Authority has been providing rental housing for very low, low, and moderate income households in the city of Albany. At Albany Housing Authority, we are committed to enhancing the well-being and success of our residents. Our Program & Supportive Services department plays a pivotal role in this mission. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to provide a wide range of support services tailored to meet the unique needs of our residents. From educational resources and job training to wellness programs and community events, we strive to create an environment where residents can thrive.

What We Do

Monthly Food Distribution Volunteer Program Support the Albany Housing Authority’s monthly food distribution by assisting with preparation and on-site delivery at various AHA locations. Volunteers help with bagging, sorting, counting, and transporting food items at our central site (200 S Pearl St), as well as handing out bags and taking attendance during distributions at AHA locations. Multiple roles are available to match different abilities and interests.
