The Baby Institute

The mission of the Baby Institute is to increase the literacy and language skills of children ages 0-3 by empowering parents to help their children become Pre-K ready! Research clearly shows how early childhood literacy is a key predictor of future stability and success, so we aim to give families the knowledge, techniques, and tools to start building literacy in their own households and to understand and work with their children from day one through their progressing stages of cognition and behavior.

Our core program is the Parent & Caregiver Workshop that takes place three times a year for on Saturdays for nine weeks. While parents and caregivers work with instructors on curriculum including infant and early childhood cognition and behavior, healthy discipline techniques and self-care and wellness, children work with staff on a variety of literacy and learning-through-play activities including puzzles, games, art, and reading. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided.
