Each year, United Way of the Greater Capital Region hosts 518 Day—a region-wide day of volunteerism supporting dozens of local nonprofits and community-based organizations. Hundreds of volunteers from across the Capital Region come together on or around May 18 (the date selected in recognition of out our Capital Region pride and area code) to give back and celebrate the spirit of philanthropy that strengthens our local neighborhoods and communities.
This year, 518 Day—generously presented by our partners at CDPHP—will take place on Monday, May 18, 2026.
