Nationally 26.4% of female and 6.8% of male undergraduate students experience rape or sexual assault through physical force, violence, or incapacitation (according to RAINN). Statistically speaking, we know many students will be in a position where they are impacted by power-based personal violence (sexual or intimate partner violence) directly or indirectly. One value at UAlbany that we strive to make universal is that we support survivors. In this session you will learn foundational skills for supporting survivors and connecting them with resources that feel right for them.
