 Do you enjoy writing friendly, personal letters? Want to help others virtually from home, school, or work? Letters Against Isolation connects volunteers with seniors in care homes and community programs. We send cheerful, handwritten letters to help them feel remembered and connected. Since 2020, our volunteers have mailed over one million letters in more than 40 languages. Join us and help brighten someone's day!What You Will Do Write a friendly letter starting with "Dear Friend" Talk about your day, a hobby, or a fun story Mail your letter to a care facility from our list Each letter is a one-time act of kindness, not an ongoing exchange This is not a pen pal or greeting card program. Your words are what matter most.What to Expect Flexible: Write whenever it works for you Meaningful: Every letter is appreciated Structured: Follow our instructions to send your letters to our partner facilities. Independent: We are a small nonprofit, run by volunteers, with no phone or office Low cost: You’ll supply your own postage and stationery Student service hours: Supervision and verification of community service hours is available for high school and university students.
