Volunteer: Community Abundance Swap
Volunteer Recruitment Description:
We’re looking for caring, community-minded volunteers to help make our upcoming Community Abundance Swap & Donation Event a meaningful and empowering day for families across the Capital Region! This event brings neighbors together to share clothing, hygiene essentials, food, and winter necessities — all free, all community-driven, and all rooted in compassion.
Volunteer Arrival Time for set-up: 1:00 PM, Event Start: 1:30 PM, Event End: 3:30 PM, Clean up: 3:30-4 PM
As a volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting both the flow of the event and the people who attend.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
✨ Event Setup – Help us prepare tables and organize the space before participants arrive.
✨ Donation Sorting – Guide attendees in placing their donated items on the correct tables and keep categories neat and accessible throughout the event.
✨ Community Support – Learn a bit about Noteworthy Resources and our mission so you can share information, answer basic questions, and pass out flyers about our programs, peer meet-ups, and upcoming events.
✨ Closing & Redistribution – At the end of the event, help gather remaining items, organize them into categories, and assist in transporting donations to local shelters and community organizations. (Volunteers with cars are especially helpful for this part!)
