Who We Are
Since 1877, The Fresh Air Fund has unlocked the limitless potential of more than 1.8 million children from New York City's low-income communities.
What We Do
We match children ages 8-14 with hosts families. Children stay one week during the summer. Hosts may select the gender of their guests. The Fresh Air experience is a cultural exchange that is as enriching for host families as it is for the children. Volunteer host families are supported by both a dedicated volunteer leadership network and The Fresh Air Fund's New York City office.
